New colour?!

22 March 2017

Hi, everyone! It's been a long time since I last written anything here. I know, omg I have been procrastinating so much and I have been really busy as well. I have recently gotten a new violin teacher and she teaches really well! I have just gotten my most recent GPA results and all is cool HAHA. Oh, and I failed 2 part time job interviews. HAHA, well the first one was because I was really nervous. Everything went smoothly until the role-play scenario... The other job interview was a part-time freelance model. The HR manager looked through my Instagram and says that it was okay. However, the boss said NO because my feed is horrible :( Guess I have to agree because I do not own an iPhone HAHA.
Anyway, let's get this post started!!! (I mean it already started...)

OH AND STAY TILL THE END IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU CAN GET DISCOUNT AT HAIR FACTOR STUDIO!!

I was with my boyfriend the other day and we were at town. He decided to cut his hair and thus, we proceeded to Far East Plaza. In case you guys didn't know, he goes there all the time to cut his hair and he always finds the director, John. Teyu has practically only received haircuts from John since Secondary 2. He is someone rather vain and very anal about his hair so I guess you can say that he really likes the outcome of his hair when John cuts it. He did try other salons but they weren't as good and I have been there to witness it so I can agree with that point. Anyway, what happened was that John saw my hair and was like, "oh my goodness what happened to your hair? It looks like algae! Come come, let me help you fix it."

We then settled down with a date and I came down to meet him and Isabel, for my first hair appointment. I was already informed beforehand of what they were going to do to my hair today so I was very excited. Basically, John decided to give me Ombre ash blue hair!! In order to achieve that effect, I had to bleach my hair twice. Let me tell you first, bleaching your roots isn't funny at all. It hurts but okay, not too bad. Initially, when they first applied the bleach on my roots, it was like ice cold. Then, it starts heating up, like how when you hold an ice cube for too long, your fingers start to feel heaty and numb. That's how it kind of feel to me. Nothing exactly happened to my scalp actually, besides the fact that it was slightly itchy the next day and I had a lot of dead skin cells (something like dandruff but it isn't, you can peel it off). Different people with different type of skin may react differently to the bleach. Make sure to ask the hair stylist first before bleaching your hair! If you have very sensitive skin or scalp then it is better not to bleach your roots at all. I am lucky because I do no have problems of that sort. However, you can always let the staff know that the pain is unbearable and you want to remove it now. For my case, it didn't hurt just that it feels heaty and I asked them if it was normal and all. Then, before bleaching for the second time, they applied a scalp protector for me and hence, the second time bleaching my roots did not hurt at all. I barely felt anything. Do not be afraid to ask!

Despite bleaching twice, they were not able to fully remove the green from my hair. As you can see from this photo, there is still a bit of green at the bottom. (results after bleaching twice)

This photo was taken after they bleached my hair once. It was more of a golden orange hair than blonde. I would never ever go out like this oh god.

Finally, after bleaching twice and giving me the OLAPLEX treatment (refer to previous hair sponsored post), my hair is ready for colouring. During the colouring, they sprayed some hair protein solution to keep my hair healthy and also gave me the OLAPLEX treatment after they washed my hair. Frankly speaking, despite bleaching twice, my hair feels very soft and do not look damaged and dry as compared to my previous hair. Although I have to say that when they trimmed off my hair, they did not trim away all my split ends due to the length constraints. Therefore, my hair may come off as a bit frizzy to some of you.
Anyway, here are some photos of the end product!

This was taken on the day itself after they did my hair. Mind you, I was in the salon for 7 hours. By the way, a tip is to wear an unwanted shirt because as you can see, my shirt has been stained and cannot be removed :(
This happened because I had to go to the toilet and I made the mistake to tell them not to wrap my hair up. They did dry my hair slightly before I go to the toilet but I guess they weren't very careful about my shirt... :/ What's worse was that they did not tell me my shirt was stained at all. However, other than that, the service there is great. They bought lunch for me, there were drinks and they were extremely friendly.

These were taken after my first wash. As you can see, the colours have already faded a little because I did not purchase colour pigmented shampoo. It is rather expensive okay! HAHA but I can get a discount from purchasing my shampoo there but I am really broke this month. :(

These are taken after the 3rd wash. At least the colours are still pretty much there. I have to admit, when I first came out of the salon, I had my doubts if the colour would suit me. However, after the hair colour faded about 1 or 2 shade lighter due to my hair wash, it kind of seems to suit me much better now! Furthermore, my hair stylist this time was way better and more skilful than that in Chapter 2. This is the truth.
