Hi, guys!! Now I know this may come off as a shock to you guys. Some of you may be thinking things like, "Omg $35 piercing? Did she get a body piercing?". The answer is a big fat NO. I merely got a HELIX piercing. Don't you "chey" on me now. I have a reason and that is why I am here today. Honestly, it may sound ridiculous to some of you but, you have to account for their service.

This is the venue where I had my helix piercing:
PRIMITIVE ART

They provide tattoo services as well, for those who are interested in getting one. Anyway, I had a dilemma as to whether I should go to those cheap shops like X-Craft to get my helix done as it only costs like $4? However, I felt that it was too risky and what happens if they are not professionals and the piercing turns out ugly? I know that it is "just a helix" and not some other dangerous piercing like conch, septum, or other body piercings. I considered going to another shop which uses the gun to pierce for about $20 but I heard from my friends that for helix piercings, you should never use the gun to pierce them. Lucky for me, Primitive Art uses a needle for every and any piercings. I have also heard many good reviews about them from friends and online as well. Apparently, many famous influencers went there to get their piercings and tattoos done.
The service provided by Primitive is what I came here for. It was extremely legitimate. Like, you have to sign a consent form first and choose the stud you would like and god, they have a lot to choose from. For me, I chose the simple stainless steel stud. Originally, I wanted titanium but it would be way more expensive. Besides, my ears have never gotten an infection before, and are not sensitive to any materials. After signing the form, they would bring you to a room where all the piercings are carried out. In there, they will explain to you a few things such as aftercare and how they are going to pierce and what they are going to use etc. They would also give you an appointment card to come back for aftercare services and check up. Feel free to go back there for cleanings and if you have infections, they can help you for free. After explaining everything, they will then proceed to conduct the piercing. They were very nice and patient with me because initially, I was really scared that it would hurt because I have heard many different things from people. The staff I got was a young chap and he will tell me when he is going to pierce. He kept assuring me it would be done and over within a second. When he pierced the needle through my skin, he told me to take deep breaths and relax.
Pain level: 1?
It felt like an ant bite and then the feeling is gone like almost immediately. All I felt was the warm feeling of my blood flowing out HAHA and my ear was really red but fear not, it is extremely normal. It feels exactly the same as the typical first piercing on the earlobe that majority have, despite the fact that Helix has more bones than the ear lobe. Then again, it depends on the individual's pain tolerance too!
