As you can see, I am indeed very far behind time for this post. Hey, this is not intentional. Been really busy you know? I am not kidding, had to study, chiong projects, practice my pieces for a charity performance (talking about it later) and of course volleyball training and blah usual other stuffs. Need to juggle ah, ain't nobody got time to blog everyday. Besides, it's been only a week after National Day... Aiya, forgive me la (; Oh, you don't know when is National Day? For your information it is on 9 August. Yes, it is our beloved Singapore's birthday! Now you must be thinking what and how does it link to SG50? Simple, SG is a short-form for Singapore and 50 stands for the age after independence. HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE! (belated) The theme would be Jubilee, which means: 'a special anniversary of an event, especially one celebrating twenty-five or fifty years of a reign or activity.' (quoted from google)  
Well yeah you get the point.

There were a lot of promotions and all going on here and there... Lots of sales such as: '50% 0ff', 'free 50g of ham' etc. Lots of mini celebrations going around and many small events plus free things. Yes, a great time to go shopping and also promote family bonding session!! Not only that, there was this 'Golden Jubilee Weekend' whereby it is made public holiday for 4 days straight for everyone in Singapore. Well, also partly because National Day falls on a Sunday, maybe that is why... Anyway yeah, this year's NDP celebration was great and awesome! For all the curious little monkeys, NDP stands for National Day Parade. The fireworks were amazing. FYI, there was this one day my boyfriend brought me to Marina Bay Sands (MBS) for window shopping and all and watch the fireworks. He kissed my cheeks under the fireworks... So cute. Ahem not sharing my love or anything, just saying la. Okay, moving on. The fireworks were really pretty and gorgeous and magnificent and and and, no words can describe it man. Best fireworks display this year I have to commend. 

Okay, now moving on... So I went out on the 7th and 8th of August. 7th was family day. We didn't really do much but yeah we went around walking and blah... I'll show you my ootd later plus a bunch of selfies. OOh noo I'm becoming a narcissist. I cannot remember what else happened. Anyway that's about all...

An additional thing.......................................................................................
I performed on the 5th of August along with some of my string ensemble mates for this community centre. This is the first time I played as a group and also the first time playing as the first violin. If you don't know, as a violinist in an ensemble, quartet or orchestra, there are two roles namely: First violin (V1) and Second violin (V2). People playing in the first violin category are of higher level than that of second violin. They play the melody whereas people playing the second violin category play the bass. Sometimes it also depends on the piece if there is a change in melody between the various instruments. Sometimes all of us play the melody but different octaves and all. It really depends. Anyway, being me I was very nervous because like, dude I am horrible at the violin. Why in the world would you put me as the first violinist for this concert? Luckily for me, the pieces aren't that difficult. Bad thing is, had to practice like consecutively and like everyday. Had to skip two weeks of volleyball training due to that. After the performance, we went to Cafe Insaong for Bingsu!
