NO NAME CAMP

Hi everyone! Okay, first of all, a very big HAPPY NEW YEAAARRR to everyone!! Yes I know, very belated new year. So sorry about that... Been really extremely busy. Today's post shall be about the most recent camp that I've attended! "No Name Camp" It was held at Bintan in Indonesia, Loola Resort on the 14 of December I think... To the 17? HAHA. As it was a camp for the entire School of Business, there were many people whom I did not know. I literally knew no one in my camp group. By knowing someone, I meant by like friends. All of them were strangers. Yes, WERE. Now, we are really really close. Well, I mean it has only been one month, you never know what happens next. Camp groups don't usually last that long haha due to the fact that everyone is in different courses, different class, different timetable and CCA etc. We end school at different timing and hence, are unable to meet up occasionally. Now let me recall...

I can only remember a few highlights... There were many fun activities such as dragon boating, flying fox, rock climbing, sandcastle making and boom netting. To me, what was most memorable was the making of the sandcastle. My group won first place among the Pillars. Oh in case you don't know, there is a total of 4 groups and 4 subgroups.

I'm in Pillars 2, which stands for Pillar of Prudence. Prudence means wisdom. Now, why the sandcastle making? That's because we worked so hard to make it look nice and creative. We went to dig as deep as we could and obtained gravel. We went to catch crabs, fishes, snails and worms. Actually, we only caught crabs and fishes. The rest were found while digging the sand. For your information, it was a low tide that's why. This was my first time experiencing low tide. Let me just say that it was crazy. Like, all the water was literally drained out. We even hid stones and rocks in our sandcastle just to make it tall. Basically, there were 4 rounds if I'm not wrong. In each round, there will be a given criteria. First criteria were to build the sandcastle, at least, 1m tall. Second was to create a mode. Third was to create a staircase, a window and a door. Lastly, create a bridge and water must be able to flow through it. We fulfilled every single one of the requirements. I would say that I really love our sandcastle and it deserves to win which we did. It was really pretty. Oh, we took the umbrella for the purpose of coverage. Like when we went to steal rocks and stones and hid it underneath the sandcastle HAHA. Aren't we clever? Talking about being sneaky, I just remembered. Basically, this whole camp is based on the Game of Life. Whatever we do gives us money and that money is used for our accommodations, food etc. There is also an option of selling 'drugs'. So what we did was that we went to sell drugs. We were given a time limit to sell the drugs to any particular teacher if I'm not wrong. Basically, what happened was that we pretended that we were going to take a group photo with the teacher. The person having the drug squat in the centre beside the teacher, while everyone else surrounded them. Halfway through the process of taking the photos, the person holding the drug asked, "Cher, want buy drugs can not?". That's really epic. What's funny was that on the first day of camp, our facilitators thought to use certain things. Cheers were one of them. Basically, what happened was that we were known as caterPillar. (Pillar). We had this thing whereby we were supposed to annoy everyone by shouting "PIIIILARLALRLARLARLARLARLARLAR" After that, we would split up by saying "Butterfly". As we say that, we have to act as though we were flying away. And that was exactly what we did when we sold the drugs. HAHA. So yeah. Anyway, I really love my group because we seem really true to each other? Like everyone is very down to earth and I like that. We had a lot of teamwork going on and that's what kept us going. I hope our friendship would last forever...

FYI these video clips are part of our campfire night performance. May I just say that we were the best? Like we created a skit out of the morales learnt and the things we went through. Everything in the skit happened before at camp... Okay, maybe not everything but like 70%.  I don't think this is the full skit and it's not in the order I'm really sorry. There are 4 parts of the skit and 5 videos but I have no idea where's the fifth video...
